Buses Rab
Rab, or as Croatians like to call it, ‘the island of happiness’, is located just off the northern coast of the Adriatic Sea. The beaches are something that this island does not lack, considering there are around 30 beaches, from classic sand beaches, to dog beach and even nudist beach. Apart from the city of Rab, the island has seven idyllic villages – Barbat, Banjol, Kampor, Lopar, Mundanije, Palit and Sumpetarska Draga.
If you plan to walk and wander through the nature of the island, that will not be a problem, since the island is barely 22 kilometres long. However, if you decide to visit other places or bigger cities, you will need to use public transport. The bus station of Rab is connected to the other villages on the island by frequent bus lines and regular lines to Zagreb and Rijeka. During the summer, the frequency of departures increases.
Bus lines on the island of Rab: The most popular routes from Rab are to Crikvenica, Rijeka, Zagreb, Pula, Novi Vinodolski, Karlovac, Ljubljana (SI) and Trieste (IT).
The local lines are frequent and run approximately every hour during the summer (first departure around 4 am; last departure around 11 pm, depending on the line), especially those to Lopar, Barbat and Kampor.
Bus fare prices on the island of Rab: The price of the ticket is around 22 kunas per direction (in this case, to Lopar). The tickets can be bought online, at the bus station or in tourist offices. The bus station offers the following services: tickets, leaving your luggage, food, drinks, market, ATM, currency exchange, taxi and newsstand.

- Rab (Palit) – all bus lines depart from the bus station; GPS
- Lopar – the bus stop is across the Diona market, by the shore
- Kampor – the bus stop is located around 150 metres after the elementary school in Kampor
- Barbat – the bus stop is located on the road D105 in towards the south; GPS
- Dumici (Supetarska Draga) – the bus stop is near the port of Dumici, near the market and tourist agency
