Buses Mostar

Mostar, a town in Bosnia & Herzegovina, has a population of 64 000. It got its name after the bridge watchers (mostari) at the banks of the Neretva river. The town is known for its Old bridge (Stari most) which was built in the 16th century and destroyed during the Homeland war. In the 2004 it was rebuilt and inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Public transport

Local bus lines are frequent and cover very well the city as well as the surrounding area.

Bus station

There are two bus stations in Mostar, bus station East and bus station West.

  1. Bus station East is located next to the railway station at the address Ivana Krndelja bb Square; this bus station is a 5 minute walk from the city centre.
  2. Bus station West is located at the Vukovarska bb address, a 20 minute walk from the city centre. Here you can see the location on the map.

Intercity transport

There are different bus lines connecting Mostar with all the bigger towns in the country. Buses are a recommended transport means within the country as well as the neighbouring countries.

Airport transport

Mostar Airport is located in Ortjes suburb, 7.4 km south-east from the railway station in Mostar. The centre can be reached by taxi or by bus lines 28 and 29.
