How to get from Almería Airport to Almería
Bus
The city bus line nr. 30 drives everyday on the route between the airport and Estacion Intermodal de Almería (the main train and bus station)
- The journey takes 35 min.
- A single ticket costs 1,05€.
- See the driving schedule.
Taxi services
In case you’re carrying a lot of luggage and don’t like using public transport, taxis are at your disposal in the Arrivals area at the airport’s terminal. Fares to and from the airport include a payment of 4.64 euros for city services. It is recommended to ask for a receipt after the ride.
Transfer
If your hotel is not easily reached by foot from the bus station, book a door-to-door transfer. Drivers usually wait for you outside the Arrivals area with your name sign, even if your plane is late. You can even pre-order a child safety seat if you’re travelling with a child.
Renting a car at Almería Airport
For those of you who would like to reach the city and explore the area on their own, we advise to rent a car directly at the airport. There are three car rental companies there, such as Goldcar, Europcar and Hertz. Save time and book your car online (it is recommended to do so at least 24h in advance).
Renting a bus at Almería Airport
For larger groups of passengers, the best option is to rent a bus at the airport. However, it is necessary to book it online, so the bus rental companies have enough time to advise you on the meeting point and all other information.

Hi,
In past years, I used the L22 bus from outside the front of the Estacion Intermodal a few times, to travel between the station and the airport. It all seemed very simple and reasonable. It seemed to run every 50 minutes, if I remember correctly.
Now there is mention of the L20 ?? service, along with the very strange map with AEROPUERTO.pdf
What does this mean: ?
8 Av. de la Estación (20) (31)
188 Aeropeurto
Does this mean that the station is stop number 8?
Has the L20 service replaced the L22 bus?
Does this mean that bus route 20 calls at the station ?
Does it still call at the airport?
How often do these buses run?
What time does the 20 service start in the morning and end at night?
I am very confused by the diagram / picture.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Dear Roger,
The post has been updated (the information regarding bus from the airport to Almeria). On this link you will find the schedule for L20.
Best regards!
Could you please tell me if the L22 bus has now stopped to and fro the airport in almeria from the Estacion Intermodal. Has it been replaced by L30.
Neither the website nor the timetables at the bus stops have been changed.
Dear Mary Meredith,
If the timetable on their website hasn’t changed, then L30 probably didn’t replace L22. I checked official Surbus website and everything seems to be fine.
Best regards!
