Innsbruck Airport Bus
Innsbruck Airport (INN), also known as Kranebitten Airport, is the biggest international airport in Tyrol, Austria. It is situated only 4 kilometres from the centre of Innsbruck. The airport handles regional flights around the Alps, especially during the winter, when the activity increases significantly, due to the skiing season.
How to get from Innsbruck Airport to Innsbruck
Local bus
Bus line F connects Innsbruck main station with the airport. The journey takes about 20 minutes and the bus ticket costs around 2€ for the adults.
NOTE: The ticket costs a bit more if you buy it in the bus.
Train
The airport does not have direct railway link, so we suggest taking previously mentioned bus line F which will take you to the main station (Hauptbahnhof). However, the nearest train stop is approximately 2 kilometres from the airport (Innsbruck Hötting) and you can take lines REX or S5 to the main station.
Taxi services
Since Innsbruck is relatively small town and there are not many possibilities of getting to the city centre by public transport, you should consider getting a taxi. The taxi from the airport to the town centre should cost a lot because the airport is just 4 kilometres from the centre.
Transfer
Another way to travel from Innsbruck Airport is with a private, door-to-door transfer directly to your accommodation in the city. You can pre-book a transfer for a hassle-free experience, professional driver will wait for you at the airport and take you to your destination.
Renting a car at Innsbruck airport
Those who prefer exploring the city by themselves but want to avoid public transport, car rental companies like Avis, Sixt and Budget offer their services in the airport area or book a car online in advance.
Renting a bus at Innsbruck airport
If coming with a larger group of people (10+), the best option is to rent a bus prior to your arrival. After doing so, the bus rental companies will inform you on the pick-up point.
How to get from Innsbruck Airport to Sölden
If you plan to go to the popular Austrian ski resort, you will first need to go to the main train station and from there take REX 5328 RegionalExpress train to Ötztal station, and then take Regionalbus 8352 to Sölden. The journey will cost you approx. 15€ and it takes 2 hrs and 30 min.

Innsbruck Airport FAQs
That will not be a problem as there are bus lines running all day (line F) but in case you miss them all, get yourself one of airport taxis which are are available 24/7, and will cost little because the airport is relatively close to the town centre.
Yes, of course. The best way to do so is to take one of the buses which take you directly from the airport to the main station situated in town centre. Unfortunately, the airport does not have a luggage storage service, but the main train station has luggage storage lockers.
The best option to visit nearby cities would be to go to the train station first and from there take the bus or train which will get you to your destination. You can visit other cities by checking the most popular bus routes at getbybus.com, e.g. Innsbruck to Graz, Innsbruck to Vienna, Innsbruck to Bolzano, Innsbruck to Munich.
Yes, the airport provides free WiFi connection for all passengers.
Yes, there is an exchange office at the airport, but it would be better to exchange the money before the trip and have some euros on you since the rate will be a lot higher on the spot and no currency other than euro is accepted.
In Setember we arrive at Innsbrcck Airport.

I’m flying into Innsbruck and want to get to Mayrhofen. We’ve been told to get the Bus F from the airport to Innsbruck HBF then train via Jenbach. Can we purchase 1 ticket for the whole journey or do we have to book the bus separately? Can we buy tickets at the airport ?
many thanks
Kate
Dear Kate,
Bus ticket is valid only for journey between Innsbruck Airport and Innsbruck HBF, so you will need to book two separate tickets. Tickets can be bought at the airport, directly from the driver.
Best regards,
Melani GBB Team
On the OBB website (https://tickets.oebb.at/en/ticket/tariffs/), you can buy 1 ticket for the whole trip, which covers the bus ticket and the train ticket.
