Lanzarote Airport (ACE), also known as Arrecife Airport, is the airport serving the island of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands. It is located in San Bartolomé, Las Palmas, only 5 kilometres southwest of Arrecife, the capital of the island. Lanzarote airport has 2 passenger terminals 1 and 2 and one cargo terminal. Bus line 22 Arrecife – Airport is the line operating between the airport and the island’s capital, Arrecife.

- From Monday to Friday the buses run from 07:00 to 22:40 from the airport to the city and from 06:55 to 22:30 from the city to the airport (approximately every 25 minutes) → timetable
Bus line 23 Arrecife – Airport operating on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays
- The price of one-way ticket is €1.40
- On Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays the buses run from 07:10 to 21:10 from the airport to the city and from 07:00 to 21:00 from the city from the airport (approximately every 50 minutes) → timetable
Bus line 161 Playa Blanca – Puerto del Carmen – Airport is the line connecting the Airport with the town of Puerto del Carmen and the Playa Blanca.
- The price for one-way ticket to Puerto del carmen is €1.40, and to Playa Blanca €3.30
- The buses run every day of the week, from Monday to Friday every half an hour, on Saturdays every hour and on Sundays and Holidays every two hours → timetable
Taxi service: You can find official airport taxis outside both Terminal 1 and 2. Rate per kilometre on weekdays from 06:00 to 22:00 is €1.10 and on holidays and weekdays from 22:00 to 06:00 is €1.26 with the starting price €3.15/3.45. The Average taxi fare to Arrecife is €12.
Transfers: You can always book a private transfer from the Lanzarote Airport to your destination if you don’t want to use the public transportation. Book the transfer online with the price fixed from the start and your driver will be waiting for you at the airport.
Renting a car at Lanzarote Airport: There are several international car rental companies available at the airport, such as Avis, Cicar, Auto Reisen, Europcar and Goldcar Rental. Bear in mind that some companies may charge additional fee if you rent at the airport. To avoid this, we recommend booking a car online.
FAQ – bus and transport from Lanzarote Airport
During night hours, between 01:00 and 06:00 there is no bus transportation from the airport so you might consider getting a taxi.
The hotels closest to the airport can be found south of the airport in the near the Playa Lima Beach. The nearest are the Beatriz Playa Hotel and Sol Lanzarote Hotel.
There are ATMs and an exchange office at the airport, so it won’t be a problem to get euros if you didn’t manage to exchange your money back home.
You can continue your trip to other destinations on the island from Arrecife, and if you’re going to Playa Blanca or Puerto del Carmen you can catch the bus line 161 mentioned above.
