Verona Villafranca Airport (VRN) also known as Valerio Catullo Airport or Villafranca Airport, is located 10 km southwest of Verona, Italy. The airport is situated next to the junction of A4 Milan-Venice and A22 Modena-Brenner motorways. It serves a population of more than 4 million inhabitants in the provinces of Verona, Brescia, Mantova and Trentino-Alto Adige.
How to get from verona Airport to Verona
Airport shuttle
Bus line nr.199 connects Verona Airport with Verona Porta Nuova train station (in the town centre). The shuttle service (also called navetta in Italian) runs regularly every day to and from the airport.
- The morning departures are at 5:35, 6:30, 6:50 and 7:10 am and after that, every 20 minutes until 8:30 pm, then it runs every 40 minutes until 11:10 pm.
- The ticket can be purchased online or at airport, it costs 6€ and it is valid for 75 minutes and can be used also on the other bus lines.
- The journey takes approximately 15 minutes.

- On 25 December and 1 January bus runs every 40 minutes.
- Bus is accessible to people in wheelchair.
Train
Unfortunately, there is to direct railway link from the airport to the centre of Verona, however the nearest train station is in the municipality of Dossobuono (1km from the airport) and from there take one of the trains that pass through the central station.

Taxi services
If you are carrying a lot of luggage, you should consider getting a taxi. The taxi from the airport to the city will cost you between 25 and 45€, depending on the time (whether it is day or night) and distance and on how much time will last the journey.

Get yourself a private taxi or minivan if you are travelling in a bigger group of people for 50-70€. It is advisable to book your transfer in advance.

From VRN to Riva del Garda: Although it is not directly connected, you can get from VRN Verona Airport to Riva del Garda for 11€ by combining airport bus to Verona Porta Nuova train station (5€), and then taking ATV Verona bus to Riva (5€). Travel time is approx. 3 hours, not counting the time between the buses.

That will not be a problem as there are buses running all day but in case you miss them all, get yourself a taxi, but be careful and negotiate the price in advance, because you might get overcharged, especially late at night.

Yes, of course. The best way to do so is to take one of the buses which take you directly from the airport to the city centre and are the most convenient way of transportation. The airport does not offer luggage storage, but alternative option is to leave your luggage at the Verona Porta Nuova train station – first 5 hours costs 6€, and every next hour is additional 0,90€.
The best option to visit nearby cities would be to go to the train station first and from there take the bus or train which will get you to your destination.
Yes, there is an exchange office (located at the Terminal T2 Arrivals) and ATMs at the airport (at T1 Departures), working 24/7, but it would be better to exchange the money before the trip and have some euros on you since the rate will be a lot higher on the spot and no currency other than euro is accepted.
