Hi
I am staying at the K and K Palais Hotel in Rudolfsplatz.
What bus should I take upon arriving to the airport?
Can I buy the Vienna Pass in airport?
Can I buy bus tickets online or better at airport?
Thanks!
Fawn
Dear Fawn,
The easiest way to reach K and K Palais Hotel is to take VAL 2 train (departs every 30 mins) from the airport to Wien Morzinplatz stop. The hotel is located 300m from the stop. As for the bus tickets and Vienna Pass, we recommend buying them online.

Hello,
I am arriving to Vienna in May and I have 14 hours lay over. I would like to take the opportunity to tour the city without missing my connecting flight. Any suggestions? I learnt that there is a BIG BUS hop on hop off bus which is good way to see the city for the first timer, affordable and it sounds convenient. But I do not see any information if the BIG BUS is available from the airport?
– What is the best rout to take the BIG BUS city tour
– Where does the BIG BUD starts from, or is it possible to catch it at any one of the 20 stops.
– Are tickets available to purchase on board of the BUS?
Thank you
Dear Tom,
Unfortunately, we do not have any information regarding Big Bus bus but You can check our city guide for Vienna and see what to visit in Vienna. Although it’s a three-day guide, I’m sure You will find some useful information.

Melani, GBB Team

I am arriving Vienna 11 Oct, staying at the Grand
Which is the best transport please? Scenic bus OK. If I buy the tickets on line, how do I receive them> I will not be taking my mobile phone with me.
Dear Alan,
if referring to Grand Hotel Wien, then Express Train S7 is the most convenient option in your case. It takes you to Rennweg train station where you have to switch to train line 71 that takes you directly to your accommodation.
If buying your tickets online, you will have to be able to receive them online prior to your travel. We don’t have the detailed info on Vienna public transport, but I suppose you can print the tickets once you receive them.
Best,
GBB Team
Hello ,
Which bus should we take from Vienna airport to Vienna living in apartment at Paniglgasse ?
Thank you !
Hi,
there are several ways to get to your accommodation, but they all include taking the Express Train S7.
One option is to get from the airport to Wien Mitte station by train and continue by U4 bus to Karlsplatz.
The other option is to take the train to Praterstern station and switch to the U1 bus to Karlsplatz.
The third option is to take a train to Wien Rennweg station and change to a bus to Am Heumarkt.
In all cases, you are left with a few minutes walk to your accommodation.
Best,
GBB Team
