Burgas Airport (BOJ) is an international airport situated about 10 kilometers from Burgas, Bulgaria. It is the second-largest airport in the country, after Sofia, serving the city and the seaside resorts on Bulgarian south coast. Last year, the airport handled over 3,200.000 passengers.
How to get from Burgas Airport to Burgas
Public bus
There is a public bus service – bus number 15, operating regularly from the airport to the main bus station with departures approximately every 20 minutes from early morning to night hours, you can check the schedule here. The airport bus stop is located in front of the Terminal building. Bus tickets can be purchased at several bus stops or directly on board for about 1€, with a difference that a ticket purchased on board is for one off-ride, and others are electronic cards valid for 45 minutes. Expect to be charged more for bulky luggage. Travel time is around 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the traffic.

If you prefer a comfortable ride over a crowded public transport, we recommend you to take a taxi operating 24/7. You will find a taxi station with yellow Eko Taxi in front of Terminal 2. The fare from the Airport to Burgas city center is usually about 10 to 15€ and the ride takes around 15 minutes.
