George Best Belfast City Airport is the main airport serving the city of Belfast, Northern Ireland. At the beginning it was called Belfast City Airport but later on they added George Best to honor the memory of the city’s famous football player. The airport operates flights across the UK and Europe, flying approximately 3 million passengers a year. Currently, there are four airline companies situated here: Flybe, Aer Lingus, British Airways, KLM and Loganair. It is located in County Down, close to the Port of Belfast and only 5 km away from the city centre.

Airport Express 600 Service is the airport’s service that offers bus transfers from/to the principal terminal to Belfast city centre every half an hour. The earliest one departs around 7 am and the last bus to catch is around 10 pm. The journey lasts around 10 minutes and the tickets can be purchased at the arrivals section or on the bus. Translink is the company that operates the airport buses among other lines, pricing and time tables are on their website.
Train
Besides buses, Translink also offers NIRailways train services from/to airport as well as across the whole Northern Ireland.
To get to the airport by train, get off at the Sydenham train station and if you are travelling from the airport then board this same station to reach the city centre.

as Translink stated on their official website, Christmas & New Year Holiday timetable operates from 24 December 2021 until 03 January 2022. Some exceptions apply and there are no services on Christmas Day.
