Sheremetyevo Airport is an international airport located in Molzhaninovsky District, 29 km northwest of central Moscow. It is a hub for the Russian international airline Aeroflot, and one of the three major airport that serve the Russian capital, along with Domodedovo Airport and Vnukovo Airport. Sheremetyevo Airport handles approximately over 45 million passengers annually, which makes it the busiest airport in the Russian Federation and former USSR.

Airport shuttle train
High-speed Aeroexpress trains depart from Sheremetyevo Airport (terminals D, E, F) to Belorussky Railway station every 20 – 30 minutes (05:00 – 00:30). Travel time is 30 – 40 minutes. Standard ticket for an adult passenger costs 500PУБ (€7).

Public bus
There are several lines you can choose from, depending on the destination.
- m. Rechnoy vokzal: fixed route taxi 949 (06:30 — 22:00, 80PУБ) or bus 851 (05:37 — 01:05, 55PУБ)
- m. Planernaya: bus 817 (05:22 to 0:18, 55PУБ) or bus 948 (06:45-21:45, 75PУБ)
- m. Yugo-Zapadnaya: bus H1 (55PУБ)

If you prefer a more cozy ride, take one of the taxis situated at the airport, in the terminals D, E or F, on the 1st floor in the Arrivals Hall (Yander.Taxi). The prices go from 1200PУБ to 1800PУБ (don’t pay anything more than that).
Transfer
If you don’t like using the public transport and hesitate to take a taxi, consider booking a private transfer which will wait for you at the airport and take you to your destination. The transfer company will send a professional driver to pick you up. You can even pre-order a child safety seat if you’re travelling with a child.
