How to get from Newcastle Airport to Newcastle
Bus
Newcastle Airport is connected to Newcastle city center and other nearby towns by regular city bus lines. Here are all the bus lines you can choose from:
X77 and X78 (Eldon Square Bus Station – Ponteland and Darras Hall) – bus stop for these two bus lines is located at platform B6918. Check the timetable of departures here.

Metro
Besides buses, passengers can also use metro station located at Newcastle International Airport. The metro train connects the airport with Newcastle city centre and Sunderland. Airport station is directly connected to the terminal through an indoor walkway.
- Train to Newcastle stops at Haymarket, Monument and Central Station and journey approximately lasts around 25 minutes. Trains leave the airport station every 12 minutes from 05:40 until 23:58.
- Train to Sunderland also leaves every 12 minutes and journey takes around 55 minutes. Trains operate between 05:40 and 23:58.
