Airports in Texas

Texas is one of the US states with most international airports. There are a few airports serving the Dallas and Houston area, all of which serve millions of passengers each year. Dallas Fort Worth Airport and Houston George Bush Airport are two large hub airports, while there are dozens of other, smaller Texas airports available. Dallas Fort Worth International Airport – IATA Code – DFW (~ 75 M Passengers)

Dallas Airport is the main Texas airport and one of the busiest airports in the USA. The airport is the main hub for American Airlines, but of course, it has flights by other major airlines. DFW airport is connected to more than 250 world destinations, making it one of the most connected airports in the world. Also, the airport has been ranked as the 36th best airport in the world, according to travellers. As for airport location, distance to Dallas city is about 20 km, while the distance to Fort Worth is about 25 km. Numerous transportation options are available at the airport, from public buses and trains to shuttles, cabs and shared rides.

Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport – IATA Code – IAH (~ 45 M Passengers)

Houston Airport is another major US airport, located 35 km north of Houston. Airport is the largest point of entry to Texas for international flights. It is also one of the busiest US airports, with more than 40 M passengers per year. IAH airport is a major hub for United Airlines, which handels about 75 percent of the total airport traffic. LA and Denver are top domestic destinations, while Mexico City is the top international destination. Similarly to DFW airport, getting to and from the airport is possible by several transportation types.

Dallas Love Field – IATA Code – DAL (~ 16.5 M Passengers)

Dallas Love Field is the third busiest airport in Texas. It is the second airport serving the Dallas area, situated 10 km from downtown. There are currently 4 airlines operating at the airport, with Southwest Airlines having the most passengers. DAL airport can be a good alternative when traveling to the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington area.

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport – IATA Code – AUS (~ 17 M Passengers)

Austin Airport is the international airport serving Austin city, Texas capital. Airport is only 20-years-old, but today it’s one of the busiest airports in Texas. It’s located around 7 km southeast of Austin. To get there, you can use Capital Metro regional transport, taxis and cabs. As for the airlines and destinations – Southwest is the main airline while Atlanta is the most connected city.

William P. Hobby Airport – IATA Code – HOU (~ 14 M Passengers)

William P. Hobby Airport is the second airport serving Houston. It is also the closest airport to Houston, located 11 km from the city center. Airport has 1 terminal with 25 gates, welcoming more than 14 million passengers each year. There are 4 airlines at the airport, and they handle domestic flights plus some international flights, mostly to Mexico. The Houston Metro System can get you to the city fast. Alternatively, there are shuttles and taxis on site.

San Antonio International Airport – IATA Code – SAT (~ 10 M Passengers)

San Antonio Airport is another international airport located 12 km north of San Antonio city center. There are 12 airlines at the moment, which offer flight to major US and Mexico cities. Similarly to a few other Texas airports, Southwest Airlines is the main carrier. As for the top destinations – Dallas and Atlanta top the list.

    Looking for my son he’s Ben missing two days hiawatha miles Jr 5211996 he’s 5 2 125 last seen wearing all black w a black duffle bag and coming from Seattle on delta they told me the flight wasn’t charged but it was they couldn’t find his name
